Tobermore boost staff pay as the cost-of-living soars

As a gesture of good will, paving and walling manufacturer Tobermore has given their staff a one-off payment of £500 to assist with the cost-of-living crisis currently affecting the UK & Ireland.  

Tobermore has always committed to an annual cost of living pay increase for its employees, in May 2022 eligible staff were awarded a significant 6% rise in addition to basic salary reflecting the significant rate of rising costs. 

Tobermore currently employ over 470 people with headquarters based in Northern Ireland and external sales teams extending across ROI and GB.  

 

David Henderson MD commented:

“We recognise that the rising cost of living is affecting many across the UK and Ireland. As a people-orientated, values-driven company we are committed to supporting our staff in many ways, one of which is a one-off payment to ease financial pressure faced by many households.” 

The payment aims to assist with rising costs of energy and other household bills and will was granted via the September payroll.* 

In addition to this cost-of-living payment, Tobermore support their people through several initiatives including a bonus structure, an employee Wellbeing App with exclusive discounts and support as well as a dedicated Culture and Wellbeing Committee.
