Tobermore support a large number of charities and organisations from a variety of sectors across the UK and Ireland, donating approx. £8 million in the last 5 years.

Tobermore have given generous donations to various charities and organisations already this year.

Barnardo’s

Tobermore remains a longstanding supporter of local charity, Barnardo’s NI, with donations now reaching over £300,000. These much-needed funds will no doubt make a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children, young people, and their families across the UK and Ireland.

Working directly with over 100,000 children and young people each year in Northern Ireland, offering over 50 services and delivering educational support programmes in 200 schools, Barnardo’s NI is currently the largest children’s charity in Northern Ireland. Alongside their many fundraising events across communities, schools and shops, they heavily depend on donations.

Michele Janes, Head of Barnardo’s Northern Ireland and Mukesh Sharma Chair, Northern Ireland Advisory Board visited Tobermore and met with Managing Director, David Henderson to thank him for the generosity of the company.

Michele was happy to share with David some of the ways in which Tobermore’s donations have been used. One of which was helping to fight digital poverty during COVID.

Michele Janes Head of Barnardo’s Northern Ireland commented, “We are delighted and very grateful for the continued support from Tobermore. Their dedication over the years has made a huge difference to the children, young people and families we support.  It was a great pleasure to meet the team this week and chat about the issues that children are facing – and how Tobermore are continuing to help.  We are looking forward to working together in future.”

Mukesh Sharma Chair, Northern Ireland Advisory Board – Barnardo’s, “I am proud to be chair of Barnardo’s N.
