Transforming Harvey’s Point: A Paving Solution for a Unique Wedding Venue

memorable hotel paving projects

Renowned Co. Donegal hotel and premier wedding destination Harvey’s Point looked to upgrade their entrance to enhance the overall experience for their wedding guests. The goal was to create a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing outdoor space for entertainment and photography, while also improving parking functionality.

To achieve this, Tobermore Tegula Heather block paving was chosen, adding warmth and charm to the entrance. Parking areas were defined using Sienna Sandstone Setts, ensuring functionality blended seamlessly with the new design.

Moving away from traditional concrete and tarmac, Harvey’s Point wanted a more decorative and colourful landscape to reflect the venue’s unique character. James Begley, Construction Manager at Harvey’s Point, explained:

“Buying from Tobermore was a pleasure, dealing with professionals who know their products. Nothing is a problem to them. I would definitely deal with them again.”

The result is a stunning and functional space that perfectly complements the charm and elegance of Harvey’s Point, enhancing its appeal as a world-class destination for weddings and events.

Revitalising The Loughshore Hotel: A Courtyard Transformation

memorable hotel paving projects

As part of its rebranding journey, the Loughshore Hotel in Carrickfergus, formerly known as The Clarion Hotel, underwent an exciting redevelopment to enhance its outdoor spaces. Nestled near the historic Norman Castle and the stunning Northern Ireland coastline, the hotel looked to create a courtyard that reflected its surroundings and elevated the guest experience.

The vision for the project focused on redeveloping the courtyard to provide a warm welcome at the main entrance, define a secondary bar entrance, and improve access to outdoor areas. Belfast-based Noteman McKee Architects was appointed to design an outdoor space that required minimal maintenance and incorporated a design which would define different zones.

Collaborating closely with Tobermore, Noteman McKee Architects and a Tobermore Landscape Designer developed a plan featuring a blend of modern and traditional paving styles. Tobermore Sienna block paving in Graphite, complemented by Sienna Setts and Circles in Graphite and Silver, brought a contemporary aesthetic to the courtyard. For the main reception entrance, Retro Heather block paving was selected, delivering a vintage-inspired walkway perfect for weddings and gala events.

This combination of modern Sienna and classic Retro paving created a unique design that met the client’s ambitions for an elegant yet practical space.

Commenting on the project, William Noteman, Noteman McKee Architects said:

“We are pleased with the end result and, more importantly, so is our client. There were no issues encountered during the design or construction process, and the service provided by Tobermore was first class, clearly outlining the products suitable for the proposed use.”

The transformed courtyard now provides a functional yet visually stunning environment, welcoming guests to a venue with a rich heritage of style and elegance.

Modern Elegance Meets Countryside Charm at Crowne Plaza

Nestled in the tranquil, landscaped grounds of Buckinghamshire, the Crowne Plaza hotel combines the charm of an elegant country hotel with contemporary British dining, a luxurious spa, and convenient access to London. Located just off the M40 motorway and close to Beaconsfield town centre, the hotel offers guests a perfect balance of relaxation and sophistication, surrounded by scenic walking trails and golf courses.

As part of a recent redevelopment, the hotel sought to transform its entrance into a space that reflected its modern style while complementing its serene surroundings. The project aimed to create a welcoming yet stylish area featuring a terrace with seating, steps, and a glass entrance that emphasised the hotel’s sleek architecture.

To achieve this vision, Tobermore’s Manhattan block paving and Fusion block paving were selected. The linear shape of Manhattan paving and the contemporary granite aggregate finish of Fusion provided the hotel with a striking look. The paving design not only highlighted the glass entrance but also extended seamlessly to the pathways and terraces, enhancing the aesthetic and functionality of the entire frontage.

This carefully designed entrance perfectly complements the hotel’s unique blend of countryside charm and modern visual appeal. Whether guests are arriving for a peaceful getaway, fine dining, or a spa retreat, the enhanced entrance ensures a memorable first impression.

Park Regis Hotel – Birmingham

Elevating the Entrance at Park Regis Birmingham

Park Regis Birmingham, a luxurious 4-star hotel situated in the bustling heart of the city, combines contemporary elegance with premium facilities.

With its prime location on Broad Street, near Five Ways train station and key shopping destinations like the Bull Ring, the hotel attracts a diverse array of guests from business professionals to weekend getaway travellers.

Developers looked for a modern and premium hard landscaping solution to complement the building’s sophisticated aesthetic and withstand the high levels of footfall and vehicular traffic typical of this busy city-centre location. The solution also needed to create a seamless, visually striking entrance and pedestrian space that reflected the luxury standards of the hotel.

Tobermore’s Manhattan plank paving was selected as the ideal choice to meet these criteria. Known for its sleek, contemporary design, Manhattan paving offers a perfect balance of durability and aesthetics. The complementary colours Mid Grey and Silver were strategically used to highlight key areas such as pathways and parking areas, creating a stylish and functional space.

The result is a beautifully enhanced exterior that elevates the arrival experience for guests while seamlessly blending with the luxury and sophistication of the hotel’s interiors. The combination of form and function ensures that the hard landscaping is not only visually impressive but also practical and resilient for long-term use.
