It’s easy to lose heart with your outdoor space when there are lots of challenges to overcome. But for David Higgins and his family, a tricky plot didn’t put them off creating their dream garden.

“The back garden was mostly grass and would have been wet or soft ground for most of the year,” says David.
With awkward angles to deal with too, getting a professional landscape designer in to help was top of David’s project requirements.
“We used Tobermore’s landscape design service and were very pleased with the visit and the drawings we received,” he says. “The designer was able to take advantage of the odd angles in the garden to make them a feature of the paving and planting areas. We changed very little from the designs to the finished job.”
David spent some time at the Tobermore Paving Centre, looking at product samples to get an idea of colours and textures.
“We took some samples home to look at in our own time, which was very useful,” David explains. “Our paving contractor was also able to advise us on different options, such as the EasyClean range.”
On the finished project, David says: “We are extremely happy with the finished job and spend a lot more time in the garden as a result. We will be doing something with the front and side of our house soon, including planting, paving and stoning.”
