Landscape Architect, OOBE Ltd, was commissioned to create a welcoming and attractive landscape environment at Hart Leisure Centre in Hampshire.

Landscape Architect, OOBE Ltd, was commissioned to create a welcoming and active landscape environment at Hart Leisure Centre in Hampshire.
Hart District Council invested £24 million in the centre and Willmott Dixon managed the construction programme. This involved the replacement of the existing Hart Leisure Centre with a new facility featuring an eight-lane 25-metre swimming pool, climbing wall and eight-court sports hall, in addition to the 120 station gym, coffee shop, multiple sports pitches and sports hall on site.
Kirstin Burnet, Senior Landscape Architect at OOBE Ltd explained the design objective:
“The overall aim was to create a landscape which responded well to its rural surroundings whilst remaining functional.’’
