For this homeowner, a long-standing gravel driveway had become more of a hassle than it was worth. While the natural surface had a certain rustic appeal, it didn’t deliver on cleanliness or ease of maintenance. What the homeowner really wanted was something that would look good all year round and stay that way.
The brief was clear: create a smarter, cleaner driveway with a traditional aesthetic that complements the character of the property.
Read more about this projectOur builder introduced us to Tom Green (Merchant Sales Manager) from Tobermore, whose input during the planning and visualisation stage was invaluable. The result is a unique driveway that we are proud of and will enjoy for years to come.
Working alongside their paving contractor, the homeowner was introduced to a range of block paving options. The goal wasn’t just about functionality; it was about enhancing kerb appeal while complementing the home’s existing charm.
The standout choice? Tegula Trio. Known for its aged appearance and timeless feel, this block paving offered the ideal balance between classic style and modern performance. Two colours were shortlisted, Bracken and Golden, both of which added warmth and texture to the driveway.
To help make the decision easier, a visualisation was provided, to allow the homeowner to see exactly how the finished driveway would look.
Once the visualisation was complete, the choice became clear. Tegula Trio in Golden offered the perfect match, tying in beautifully with the tones of the house and delivering the polished, traditional finish the homeowner had envisioned. The turning circle would be defined with a border of Kerbstone in Charcoal, adding both contrast and structure to the design while subtly highlighting the turning circle as a central focal point of the driveway.
With the design finalised, installation began shortly after. The result is a beautifully defined, easy-to-maintain driveway that enhances the home’s entrance and adds long-lasting value.
“Our driveway covers a large area with a mix of colours and textures, so choosing the right products, design, and layout was a major decision that we couldn’t afford to get wrong.
Our builder introduced us to Tom Green (Merchant Sales Manager) from Tobermore, whose input during the planning and visualisation stage was invaluable. From there, we made a bold decision to pave the entire driveway in a single colour – Tegula Golden – and to incorporate a circular design around a landscaped turning circle to create a focal point.
The guidance and support we received from Tom and Tobermore, combined with the expertise of our builder and installer, was second to none. The result is a unique driveway that we are proud of and will enjoy for years to come.”
This project is a perfect example of how Tobermore’s expert support and quality products can bring a homeowner’s vision to life.
