By making movement between the inside and outside more convenient, you’ll find you spend a lot more time enjoying your outside space. Here’s our top tips to help make the transition between inside and outside living seamless.

1. Design your house around your garden

If you’re in the process of designing your home, consider your house design in conjunction with your garden. Thinking carefully about how the two spaces interact will ensure you garden is incorporated as an integral element of your home. Your architect can also provide expert assistance in positioning your house, garden, windows and doors to maximise sunlight.

2. Incorporate sliding or bi-folding doors

Help bring the outside in (and the inside out!) with the addition of sliding, double or bi-folding doors. By making movement between the inside and outside more convenient, you’ll find you spend a lot more time enjoying the outdoors.

3. Blend the inside and outside

With doors now leading outside to your garden, why not create a patio area to help blend your outdoor and indoor living spaces? To create a seamless look, consider paving in a colour which matches the flooring of your indoor connecting area.

Whether you are after a classic or modern look Tobermore have a range of paving slabs available across our Premium, Elegance and Lifestyle collections to suit any home. With a variety of colours and finishes, you’re sure to find the right paving for you.
