Getting started is undoubtedly the hardest part of any garden design project. There’s so much to consider. From planting to paving and everything in between, it can quickly become overwhelming.

The best way to start is by planning your hard landscaping. With this considered, you can work with the space that’s left to plan your planting and other garden features.

Don’t know where to start? The great news is that there are lots of design tools, services and resources available to help you get started with planning your dream outdoor spaces.

Here are four ways Tobermore can help get your garden design project off to a flying start!

Book a home consultation

Book a FREE consultation session with a Tobermore Paving & Walling Manager for the reassurance you deserve. Making hard landscaping easy is what Tobermore does best.

We’ll pop out to your home to give our expert advice on how our paving can transform your outdoor space. We’ll advise on design, product cost and finding a paving contractor.

We’ll do the hard work for you, making sure your project is stress-free, straightforward, and ready to be enjoyed when summer rolls around.

We visit and tour your outdoor space together, offer advice on bespoke garden and driveway design – and provide estimated costs so you can plan confidently.

A quick and easy way to get inspiration for your outdoor space is by browsing a photo gallery of completed projects. It’s a great way to get inspired for your garden design project.

Apps like Pinterest or Instagram, as well as gardening magazines, are a great place to look for inspiration. But don’t forget Tobermore has a huge collection of project photos that you can browse for free too. And with our ‘My Favourites’ tool, you can save the images you like and refer to them later.

Do you prefer modern and minimalist with straight lines or a more traditional cottage-garden style with curved lines and soft planting?  Your ‘My Favourites’ section will allow you to save all the projects you love in one place.

Get your outdoor space visualised by our experts

If you’d prefer the help and reassurance provided by a landscape designer, Tobermore can help. Using photos of your outdoor space, our paving and walling experts can produce a visualisation of your new Tobermore patio or driveway.

All you need to do is send us a photo of your outdoor space, add a description of your project and choose the Tobermore products and your preferred colours. Within 10 working days you’ll receive a personalised visualisation of your new paving – which you can then take to your paving contractor.

Cost: £25

Use a garden design visualisation tool on your mobile phone

Picture It is a FREE tool that uses augmented reality (AR) technology to help you visualise new paving in your garden on your mobile phone. It’s one of the easiest, quickest and most accurate ways to get a picture of what your new paving will look like.

It really is hard landscaping made easy – in just three simple steps:

  • First, you’ll need to head outside with your mobile phone and open the Picture It tool on the Tobermore website.
  • Next, take a picture of your outdoor space. Make sure to clear the space first – no cars or garden furniture!
  • Then, in the Picture It tool, simply choose from the range of Tobermore paving products to see how they look in your garden. You can even switch between different colours and laying patterns in a single tap!
