Tobermore Christmas donation

Tobermore has made its 2024 Christmas donation of £25,000 to Barnardo’s NI, bringing our total over the years to a fantastic £370,000.

All donations made to Barnardo’s directly fund services to make a difference in the lives of local children, young people and families.

Visiting Tobermore HQ, Natasha Mackay, Fundraising Manager at Barnardo’s NI, said:

“Tobermore has been a passionate supporter of Barnardo’s NI for many years and we’re extremely grateful for another very generous donation this Christmas.

1 in 4 children in Northern Ireland are growing up in poverty. Families who were once forced to choose between feeding their children or heating their homes can no longer afford either.

Thanks to donations like this one from Tobermore, Barnardo’s NI can make sure families get the support they need—whether it’s helping them put food on the table, keeping the electricity on so they can stay warm, or organising special days out for them to enjoy as a family.”

It is Tobermore’s vision to transform people and places, and we are proud to be able to support Barnardo’s NI in their crucial work to build better futures for thousands of less fortunate children, young people and families. Barnardo’s NI provides essential support to 18,000 children, young people, parents and carers through more than 40 services and partnerships across the country.

Tobermore’s donation will help Barnardo’s NI continue these vital services, including a plethora of support for young people who may be suffering adversity such as leaving care, mental health issues, homelessness and other challenges. The charity offers training, counselling, resources and a diverse range of support for young people coping with difficult issues.

Welcoming Barnardo’s NI to HQ, David Henderson, Managing Director, commented:

“Charitable giving is a big part of Tobermore’s company culture and we are fortunate to be in the privileged position to help make a difference to the lives of young people and their families across the country, especially at Christmas time when they need it most.”
