Manufacturing NI Hall of Fame Honour for Tobermore Executive Chairman & Owner

Tobermore is delighted to announce that Executive Chairman & Owner, David Henderson has been inducted into the ManufacturingNI Hall of Fame.

The honour was presented at the ManufacturingNI Hall of Fame Awards Dinner, held as part of the Anchor High Leadership Summit on the 28th of May 2026 where over 160 of Northern Ireland’s senior manufacturing leaders gathered for a day of insight, discussion, and forward-looking leadership.

The Hall of Fame recognises individuals whose leadership, contribution and lasting impact have helped shape Northern Ireland’s thriving manufacturing industry.

Richard Hogg, Chair, Manufacturing NI, said:

“The Hall of Fame represents the very best of Northern Ireland’s manufacturing leaders, who have not only built outstanding businesses, but who have lifted those around them, created opportunities, and contributed meaningfully to their local communities.”

Following in his father’s footsteps, David joined the family founded business as a production manager, after graduating from Queens University in 1976 with an Engineering degree and then became Managing Director in 1987 and has played a key role in the company’s growth and success over the past four decades

Under his leadership, Tobermore has expanded its product offering, invested in manufacturing innovation and strengthened its position as a leading supplier of hard landscaping and walling products across the UK and Ireland.

Reflecting on the recognition, David said:

“It is a privilege to be inducted into the ManufacturingNI Hall of Fame. This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of the many talented people I have had the opportunity to work alongside throughout my career at Tobermore. I am proud of what we have achieved together and excited about the future of manufacturing in Northern Ireland.”

David was one of four industry leaders inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, alongside fellow individuals who have made significant contributions to Northern Ireland’s manufacturing sector.
