Tobermore wins builders merchant industry awards

Tobermore has recently been recognised for the service and support they provide to the builders’ merchant industry and have picked up awards from JEWSON and Fortis.

At the recent JEWSON Supplier Awards, Tobermore was delighted to pick up the award for Best Sales Support.

On receiving the award, the Tobermore team was described as ‘the most proactive supplier we have working with our branches currently’ and as ‘fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture.’ Tobermore were ‘recognised as a favourite to deal with.’

With over 450 JEWSON branches across the UK, the Tobermore merchant sales team is committed to ensuring that their products are highly visible in JEWSON branches and that they bring multiple leads into branches for joint follow up.

The team received further recognition for their work in supporting merchants from the Fortis buying group, placing as a runner up in the Supplier of the Year – Landscaping & Cement category.

Fortis is a timber and building merchant buying group with 39 member companies across the UK. The awards ceremony, held as part of the Fortis Building & Timber Conference, identified and rewarded the best supplier in each product category with the nominations coming from the Fortis category team.

Commenting on this recent success, Richard Wardle, Head of Merchant Sales at Tobermore, said:

‘This is great recognition for the team on how we work and interact with our stockists to influence sales. We are invested in working with stockists to upsell our ranges using our design services which will benefit the contractor and, ultimately, the homeowner’.
