Job summary

As the company continues to attract new customers we are now seeking to appoint a Part-Time internal sales assistant to support our experienced team in Dublin. The successful candidate will have a versatile role focusing on a range of customers primarily the general public but also paving contractors and building contractors.  You will liaise closely with customers to determine their needs and secure sales.  You will also be responsible for serving customers from our stock yard which includes operation of a fork truck and manual handling of paving products.  The successful candidate will be hands on and capable individual self-motivated and should possess strong communication, interpersonal and organisation skills.

Key tasks & duties

Provide daily support to paving centre team members on all aspects of paving centre operations.

Interact with customers face to face and on the telephone to secure and grow sales of paving products.

Prepare and follow up customer quotations.

Provide an efficient and courteous service to all customers who call to collect product from our stock yard.

Carry out stock checks and replenish stock of products and samples as required.

Follow Company procedures including health and safety.

Operate a computer order entry system.

Calculate material required from landscape design plans.

Prepare visualisations for private market and house developers.

Cash handling.

Record daily activity levels.

General maintenance of the paving displays.

Essential criteria

Leaving Certificate, Higher level to be greater than H4. Top 6 subjects to include Maths & English

6+months of customer service experience

Desirable criteria

Knowledge of the construction industry.

Proven track record in sales.

Driving Licence.

Working Hours : Saturday, Monday & Tuesday 09.00am-17.30pm. Flexibility will be required to cover holidays and absence periods.
