Tobermore Shares Success with Charities
LEADING paving and walling manufacturer, Tobermore has shown that while charity begins at home it can span right across the globe. The south-Derry based company which has been enjoying record sales across Ireland and Britain has presented a total of £25,000 to a range of charities chosen by its employees including the Northern Irish based, award winning Cedar Foundation, Musgrave Park Hospital Spinal Cord Injury Unit, Action MS and a number of Southern Ireland based organisations such as the Marie Keating foundation, The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation, Abode – Care for Handicapped Children and Guide Dogs for Ireland.

Charities in Great Britain such as Derrian House, Gem Appeal and the Edinburgh Sick Childrens Hospital Charity also benefited from Tobermore’s generosity. But just to show Tobermore has a world view on giving the company donated towards the Niall Mellon Township Scheme in Africa and the Ndi Moyo Project in Malawi. The company made this contribution in lieu of corporate customer gifts at Christmas time.

Managing Director, David Henderson, praised the efforts of his team this year and said he was delighted others could benefit from Tobermore’s success. “Often customers are bombarded with gifts of various kinds from suppliers. Many of our customers have thanked us and stated that they are delighted that deserving charities receive much needed assistance rather than them receiving another box of chocolates.”
“It’s been another good year at Tobermore Concrete. Our business is growing strongly in the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain as well as in Northern Ireland. It’s been our practice, over many years, to share our success with charity organisations."
