As Irish and Welsh football fans prepare to flood into Croke Park later this month for the first ever international soccer match at the famous venue, an Ulster firm is thrilled to be playing a small role in the historic event!

For south-Derry based lifestyle landscaping company, Tobermore is celebrating the completion of a major paving contract at the recently opened Jurys Croke Park Hotel, facing the 82,000 capacity stadium where Ireland will do battle with Wales. The hotel has already become the favourite watering hole for rugby fans who attended the recent Six Nations internationals.

More than 2,000 square metres of Tobermore's Bracken Tegula, Bracken Retro and Granite Country kerbing products have been laid as part of a major landscaping project around the 4-star hotel, which is already booked out as spectators prepare to flood into the city for the big game.
"All in all it's been a mammoth effort." said Tobermore's Regional Sales Director, Michael Cassidy.

"It's an historic match and an important one for the Republic. We're delighted to have helped in any way to set the stage for the first ever visit to the area by soccer fans from Ireland as well as Wales."
The match marks a new and exciting adventure for the Republic of Ireland team, who are looking forward to playing at what is regarded as the landmark headquarters of a sport-loving nation. Ireland's first match at Croke Park against Wales on 24 March will be closely followed by a second visit to play Slovakia, just four days later on 28 March.

Tobermore is delighted to add Jurys Croke Park Hotel to its lengthy list of prestigious paving projects at hotels across the Republic, the most recent of which include the Killiney Court, Doonbeg Golf & Country Club, K Club, Druids Glen, Ballyliffen Lodge Hotel, Dunboyne Castle and Mount Juliet. Tobermore, which has seen massive sales growth in the past four years alone, is now market leader in the north and a major player in the Republic.

The privately-owned company pioneered the concept of the paving and walling centre in the early 1990s by opening Ireland's first purpose-built centre adjacent to its head office in south Derry and now operates paving and walling centres at Bangor, Dublin, Galway, Cork and North West England.

"The idea of the paving and walling centres was to enable customers to view our products in attractive, landscaped settings. As well as availing of our free on-site design services, they can also take away product samples." says Tobermore's Michael Cassidy.
