Preparations off to a tee for Ryder Cup
Some of the world's top golfers - including world number one Tiger Woods - will be striding out on the granite flags supplied by Tobermore when this year's Ryder Cup tees off next month at the K Club in Kildare.
And as many of the sport's top names put finishing touches to their preparations for what is expected to be one of the best ever Ryder Cup tournaments, a team of specialist tradesmen has been busy completing the last sections of the Palmer Clubhouse's exterior where more than 1000m2 of Pietra flags made by leading landscape products manufacturer, Tobermore, have been laid.
Elsewhere around the new clubhouse, named after the legendary Arnold Palmer, Tobermore's Saffron Gold, Malva Buff Argento Silver and Platino Grey natural stone paving has been used to great effect, ensuring the golfers step off the 18th green onto a luxurious barbecue and patio area. The same winning combination of Tobermore paving products has also been used to spectacular effect at the nearby Smurfit clubhouse and throughout the magnificent residential properties that line the 18th fairway.
Tobermore's Sales and Marketing Manager, Brian Wilson, a keen golfer himself, says no stone has been left unturned to ensure the K Club and its associated facilities look nothing less than immaculate as the country braces itself for what is believed to be the largest ever sporting event to come to Ireland.
