At Tobermore, we are heavily committed to local and international charity work. We have donated thousands of pounds over the past 10 years and we are very proud of the benefits and assistance this has provided for charities and community groups.
Tobermore's most recent charity donation of £20, 000 was given to Barnardo’s fantastic ‘Christmas Fund’ and will make a huge difference to the lives of children throughout the UK and Ireland. Barnardo’s is the UK's leading children’s charity, delivering exceptional services to approx 120,000 children and young people in over 430 local services. The charity is committed to changing the lives of children who, without their help, can see no future.
Tobermore have also recently committed a long term partnership agreement with internationally renowned charity, Concern Worldwide. Through Concern Worldwide, Tobermore have supported a project in Kenya where we have helped to build 12 new schools in the Nyanza Province and establish school management councils to ensure schools are run effectively by the local community. This initative has helped provide clean water at the schools which is available for pupils as well as the local community and provide health care guidance at school so children will understand how to avoid many of the local diseases. Furthermore, this has helped create grants for the local community to help them start up their own businesses and learn skills on how to generate their own income.
