Ulster Rugby launched their new kit for the upcoming season yesterday at an exclusive season ticket holder event at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast, the home of Ulster Rugby. Tobermore is delighted and extremely proud to be a sponsor for the upcoming season, with the Tobermore logo showcased on the player’s shorts.
Almost 300 supporters attended the event as local street artist Glen Molloy revealed the new home and away jerseys in a large piece of art, featuring players Andrew Trimble and Stuart McCloskey, on an interior wall at the stadium. Designed and manufactured by Kukri in Lisburn, the home shirt incorporates Ulster's traditional colours of white, red and black, while the away jersey is black and blue. Both kits will remain unchanged for a two-year cycle.
The Ulster Rugby team compete in the Guinness PRO14 and the European Rugby Champions Cup, regularly attracting viewing figures in excess of 150,000 per match and attendances of over 16,000. The interest in, and support for Ulster Rugby, which continues to grow, has seen the Ulster Rugby brand become one of the strongest in European professional rugby.
Ulster are due to play a pre-season friendly against Wasps this Thursday 17th August at the Kingspan Stadium and the Guinness PRO14 season kicks off on Friday 1st September. We wish the team all the very best of luck in the new season!
